  1. Petey's so well behaved! I like that you didn't show who's pet Petey is. Makes it a little disturbing....I love it! It would make a cool poster.

  2. Hello Elizabeth:
We can well imagine that sometimes the pet and the owner would be better off switching roles, just as you illustrate here. We are, of course, left wondering just what animal is taking Petey for a walk. A St. Bernard, an Irish Wolfhound, a Great Dane....or perhaps, a standard Poodle. Yes, Petey and the Poodle, we like the thought of that and Petey seems very happy about the whole thing!!

  3. What do you mean 'IF dogs had pets?' They have . They do.
    They are called Masters.

Benno has me well-trained. You should see his guilt-inducing stare when I'm late with his dinner.

  11. I LOVE Petey the Pet!!! My dog thinks I am her pet and she has me very trained. But happy she isn't totally in charge because I am not sure what I would get to eat for dinner. Makes me cringe just thinking about that.

  18. That’s so ‘me!’ back in the day. I would love to contrive a whole series of ‘Naughty Petey Pete’ mischief & adventure tales around this roguishly errant little squirt. If I ever find the grit to give it a go, I’ll come politely tap on your door first, I promise.
