Busy Busy

This is shaping up to be a really busy month. I have so much drawing to do...along with a little writing (gotta keep Teddy in trouble), and some story creating.  One of these days I will get around to submitting stuff and/or finding an agent.  Meanwhile--in fairly stark stylistic contrast to my last post--here is a little placeholder who really sums it up for me sometimes ;)

  1. Hello Elizabeth:
On any day we are incapable of drawing hands or feet....well, we can add to that heads, eyes, ears, noses, arms, legs........!!!

Gosh this poor handless, footless girl looks frantic, we do so hope that you are not at this pitch but busy with work sounds good to us.

    Take care and enjoy!!!!

  3. Hello Elizabeth

Some days we must allow ourselves to take short cuts. They say the artist should never tell too much and the viewer can fill in the details!

  6. Digits are highly over-rated on some days.

  7. Well, Elizabeth, we all have memories. I live on my memories. I've seen hands and feet bazillions of times so when I saw the drawing, I thought I saw hands and feet. Didn't I? :)

  8. Hello Elizabeth - well I just love your style and how you made me laugh. Your work reminds me of those animations where all the outlines are shifting a little every second - it adds life to your characters.

Yes, get off your chair and stick something in the mailbox to an agent. I'm sure you will do well.

  9. How is it that you capture so much with something seemingly rudimentary? I can feel the breeze blowing through her hair, and the expression on her face makes me almost fail to notice the lack of hands and feet-- such an integral part of a rendering.

As always, Lizzy, astonished by your range.

...don't bring Teddy in too much trouble, will you?

  11. Agreed. Hands and feet are the worst things to draw! But good luck for you, Elizabeth. :]

  13. I know how you feel. I think you should try to keep Teddy 'out' of trouble, poor little bear!

  14. Yes...you most definitely need an agent...preferably one with their own hands and feet too! Paws are so much more fun and easier don't you think?!
