Another Teddy...Reporting In-Again

Teddy's reporting in--AGAIN
I just had to put this up for the Illustration Friday topic this week: "Sink."
How could I not?
So for those of you who have already been here...thanks again for stopping by :)
And for those of you who are seeing Teddy for the first time...don't worry...he never really dies ;)
(This Teddy is one of my on-going "Teddy's in Trouble" series--also known as "The Unfortunate Incidents of Teddy-the-Bear").

Underneath the Juniper Tree has posted poor Teddy in another dire situation.
He just can't seem to stay out of trouble. Sigh.

  1. Strapping boy Lee is very naughty and should get coal in his Christmas stocking. Better still we should put Lee in some cement too and they could then sing "I'd like to be beneath the sea in an octopus's garden with thee"
I get carried away with your sketches!!

  4. ELIZABETH!!!!!!! Your work is magical, poetic, and striking!!! You have really captured a style all your own that is just enchanting for any time of the year. Thank you so much for coming to visit me with such kind words. My craft is not so much illustration, but I would love to be a writer. Your comments make me feel as if I do have possibilities to communicate. THANK YOU! And I can't wait to see what you have ready for the holidays!!! PEACE! Anita

  11. Hello Elizabeth:
And what an exceedingly unpleasant little boy Lee appears to be. Perhaps you could consign him to the deep?!

  12. Did you have a naughty Teddy bear when you were growing up? You're sure getting back at him now! This is really funny. Poor Teddy.

  18. I'm off to get my snorkel (as if I had one) this very minute and rescue poor teddy!! Then...I'm off to find that little sprite Lee and give him a _____!!
Maybe he just wants a new Teddy for Christmas and this is his way of claiming to need one...none the less...for shame little Lee, for shame!

  25. Luckily Teddy was trained by Houdini and soon the boy was arrested on charges of animal cruelty.
But if you think the story stops there....you haven't met Elizabeth.
Happy Holidays and the Best Wishes for 2012, dear Elizabeth.

  26. Like Houdini his expression shrugs off the seeming dire situation. Seems like he knows how to manage through any trouble.
    ~~balances your illustration emotionally.

    cool.

  28. I've popped over to visit from Rubye Jack's blog and so this is the first time I've met your teddy. I think I'm traumatised. I shall return after the holiday and I'm hoping that teddy will be breathing fresh sweet air again... very soon!

  29. Poor Teddy (again!) Hope he'll stay out of trouble in 2012 - or he can come over to me - I have a Teddy-rescue-place.
