He he! I identify with that quail.
Looks like the Monday morning crowd going back to work again, and who can't identify with the little guy going the other direction.
We have hundreds of geese flying in V formation over our house - alarmingly all in different directions. Abby has been documenting it.
I like the way you create movement. There's a current of wind, here, and in the last one, water, that is palpable. Weird, but it's like after I look at your work, I feel like I've watched a cartoon instead of just viewed a single frame.
Hi, I have been here few times last week but I do not see any my comments. It is weird .... probably all is fault of bird nr.6 !! I admired your drawings from past times and I wrote some comments...(gone) It's great to see whole process....It seems to me you have more fun now... art knows no boundaries, art doesn't really have judgement. Good Luck on your way!!! Just go on!And about A Fowl Brigade: simple but a lot of expressions!
The town I live in is a navy town and I see your left five characters frequently, lining up, tired, windblown, looking in all directions. Never see the one on the right though, unless it is the sergeant.
It's been so fun catching up with you! I love your silly birds...especally the one going the wrong way (or maybe she's going the right way?)!And I really loved seeing how your art has evolved into your very own particular & special style...'you' are shining through now!Enjoy the gorgeous day!xo J~
"So GET out there and clean up that road kill. Hey, you too, Bucky."
I love this brigade, every bird has its own style :)The one at the end is so funny XD
perfect - so well done
These are so funny, do you give them names and personalities while you're drawing? My mind went in a similar direction but our illustrations were done in a very different way!
I really like these simpler style line drawings that get filled with so much personality. Love their scarves and their rather unsure expressions.
"Hey! Why is everybody going the wrong way!?" LOL Very funny, Elizabeth!
Hahahahaha, you crack me up! Great blog!
Little quail is the smart one; He's the only one walking WITH the wind.
hahaha! So love this! He is such a rebel that little one, Vive la revolution!!!! :)))
so freaking cute
delightful! so well done!
Haha! I love these kinds of drawings, lining up. The little guy going in the other direction is a great detail! :D
I always smile when I see what you've drawn. I like you before and after post about how your style has evolved :)
These guys are great! I love that they all have their own accessories. And thanks so much for visiting my blog!
Lot's of character in a little space - fun!
hahahahaha! I love this! What a great idea and it's fantastic on how they're all different shapes and sizes
Hehee. That brigade is bound to make some trouble ahead...Hey, the one at the front looks familiar...hmm....
Thanks for stopping by. I completely agree with Suze.
Always a surprise:)Awesome!
Hehe hehe I see that many have chuckled before me :0 but I reckon I chuckled the hardest :)you have the gift of showing just the right amount to tell the story and to keep us intrigued . Less is more - especially when it flows so well and has so many faces (Ps the Teddy bear got away :) )
I love reading the comments and seeing how much enjoyment you've created with a few prefectly drawn lines. It's amazing to me how you've pared these creatures down to minimal gestures and still convey so much. Well done...as usual!
I love the expression of every bird... the first one cracks me up with his stance.
where does one sign up for this fowl brigade? count me in!!!! Beautiful in its simplicity. you're a legend Elizabeth!
Its really amazing how much character and personality you can pack into those few simple lines, really charming, love it:)
I truly appreciate your comments.I try and reply, so be sure and come back!
