  3. Oh, so THAT'S what my hen, May, has been doing lately! (We've built a new coop fence after fishing her out of both the pool and the hot tub again.)I hope that Henny doesn't require similar rescue efforts!

  5. I love her flowing scarf. Reminds me of Penelope waiting for Odysseus. You could call her Henny-Penny (ie. Penelope!). Ha! Love it.

  6. Hello Elizabeth:
We do so hope that when Henny's ship comes in she will be transported, together with you, back to our computer screens. You have been missed but we hope that you have had a lovely time.

  8. It's the Lady Henny of Frenchman's Creek; she has decided to join her pirate lover.

  12. With that breeze Henny's ship will arrive very soon. Henny's shawl is just so great!

  13. At least Henny can see the ship. It's just a matter of time!

  14. I guess that's not her ship, seems to be passing her by. No matter, let that tiny dinghy pass, better to hold out for a big schooner; more likely to have a fancy pirate in it. Just be patient, Henny.

  15. There is something strangely romantic to this piece. Is she waiting for true love?

  16. It's easy to see from Henny's attire that her ship is special.

  17. It sounds like Henny's ship is expected to arrive in New York. (?)
I betcha it's the Queen Elizabeth II (pun intended), not that tiny sail boat.
DO TELL what happened on your journey last week, Elizabeth!
    The suspense is killing me.
(Peet and Buttercup keep asking too.)

  21. Oh, I can't WAIT! So dramatic, the way her scarf is billowing in the wind! It's like an epic perfume ad. Hope it's a really really really big ship. She deserves no less.

  22. Others have called it romantic, and maybe so. I call it wistful. The longing for outside forces to bring happiness. Ah Henny, you are the key to your own happiness! Be good to yourself and you shall attract many ships. Love the billowy scarf!

  30. With that scarf Henny could just sail out to meet the boat herself. Unfortunately for her, though, it seems like the boat is sailing away - if that is the one she is waiting for. The drawing is so simplistic and yet delightful and full of character. I think you have a great stroke.
