Carry

Got a busy week ahead, so I'm stretching the Illustration Friday topic, "Carry," just a bit.
This is a doodle I did a few weeks ago.  Her name is Clara. She's a chick-carrying-chick.

  2. Loving the two little chicks and that sassy blue bow. Cute!

  3. Apart from the skinny legs, this could have been me - and I would have been sharing my disgust at being made to wear a pretty dress with a bow with my nesting friend. My hair was always described as a bird's nest - or rats' tails! (And I always wanted to be called Clara too!)

    1. Hi Dewi! I will have to look up the Prince Palasara story. Maybe she can be Princess Palasara? ;)

  6. Haha, she looks exactly like a Clara. And I love the giant bow. (And she may even look a bit like Clara Bow.) The look on her face is hilarious! Love the hair and the chicks! Very adorable and fun.

    1. Funny how the mind associates things...and often unconsciously. Hahaha. Clara Bow. That's probably exactly why that name popped into my head when I drew her. Thanks for stopping by, Cindy!

  20. well I see the little chick looking up as having not been able to stay on top of the head, hence the eye roll from the girl. hahahaha.
but I guess you've determined that he's just waiting his turn.
    expressions are simple and great.

  26. Hahaha! Très chic, las tres chicas! What I want to know is whether the hen actually brooded on her head... that doesn't sound too comfy... unless of course it was very cold out.

  27. Cool Chicks!
I love the contrast between Clara's elegant dress and that messy hair (it looks like a nest!!).
I think her mom dress her up but she's more of a tomboy who enjoys playing outside instead of staying at home and play with her dolls.
The good thing is that she has found new friends :)
