Catching Up

I was in New York a few weeks ago, and had a wonderfully productive meeting with my agent. The upshot is that I have been peddling-to-the-metal the last few weeks to get a manuscript finished, along with some drawings.
I made the deadline, and now it is in the hands of the fates :)   We shall see.
Here's a glimpse of the little guy I have been working on:

  1. How could these drawings, essentially so simple, be so very expressive??? He is absolutely adorable, Beth!

  2. I loves pigs. My SIL and Farmer DH have them. We don't talk about why...

  3. I love his expressions! It's funny how quickly I empathize with the pig. Seems to be the kind sort!

  7. Wonderfully adorable and great set of poses. He does look worried in all of them, so I hope you've got a page of joyful ones somewhere! :)

  9. There is always a reason for pigs. It's not always obvious however. Good thoughts heading your way for this project :)

  12. So, after Henny comes Benny?

You have made us all fall in love a weird hen, so I assume you are on a mission to get us all enchanted by Benny?

That won't be that difficult if you keep on posting about perfect, pink piggies.

  13. He's going to go down a wow! Great 'well-rounded' character.

'Henny' is only available to pre-order as kindle (UKwise) will it come out in book form?

    1. Thanks for looking her up, John :) It's odd that HENNY is only up on the AmazonUK site for Kindle, since it's up on all the other sites as a hardcover as well (US,Canada,France,Germany). I can't imagine it not being available as a hardcover in the UK-- hopefully, they just haven't updated the page yet. That said, I will make an inquiry with the folks at Simon & Schuster and see if they know anything. Thanks SO much, John! I will certainly keep you posted and, if all else fails, I will make sure you get a copy :)

  14. When I read your latest post about Henny, I felt guilty for eating chicken tacos today, but I don't eat pork so no worries for this guy! How could they say no to this piggy? Impossible!

    1. Guilty! Henny is horrified at the idea of her brethren being stuffed into a taco, Ted. She wants me to tell you the only parts you can eat with a clear conscience are chicken wings ;) Meanwhile, Peddles is grateful that you have opted to spare his kind.

  16. And I too dearest, have been off-line for a few days, missing out on my friends here in blogland; but your little piggies are precious and are sure to capture the eye and heart of your agent, and hopefully, of the larger public. You have my heart!!!!!! Anita

  19. He really is perfect, Elizabeth - how a drawing can convey so much chubby warmness, I really don't know, but he makes me want to pick him up and cuddle him! Axxx

  21. I was just reading your recent post but got 'sucked in' (as can so often happen) and was scrolling away and came to this and... I know that I've commented before but... I just love this little piggy! I got this far and just started spontaneously chuckling and smiling even bigger than I already was!! <3 ;)
