For Tyler

(This post is for a friend of mine's son who is a little worried about monsters in his closet at night).

Hello, Tyler!
This is Gus.  He likes closets because sometimes he finds fun and unusual (for a monster ;)) things to wear.  He found these recently and decided to try them on.

What do you think?  Oh, and by the way, Gus keeps a little glow stick handy because well, you know, closets can be DARK!

Gus says, "Hi!"

  3. I was talking to my brother about your work last night. He had a distinct memory of the gifts you gave little one and me last year at this time. I was boasting about you, really. Saying that you not only had exquisitely-honed skill but that you were a visionary.

  4. Elizabeth, how compassionate of you to give this truly, ugly, plump monster real, skinny ballerina legs and a perfect ballerina position. Well done.
Could your ballerina perform an anti rain dance for me (see my blog)? I would appreciate that so much!

  8. I KNOW Tyler will be so relieved to only have to think about a green, horned monster, dressed up in a tutu and point shoes, in his closet. Oh yes, with a glow stick handy!!! Beth, you are hilarious!!!

  13. This is AWESOME! Tyler got a huge kick out of this. We've printed out the monster and have put it on his closet door. Now when he's scared of monsters we point out the tutu and how silly the monsters looks. This is yet another weapon in our ongoing war with the monsters. Many thanks, Elizabeth...you're the best! WooHoo! :-)

    1. Yay! Reading this is just the best way to start a week! I am SO pleased Tyler likes Gus, and that he is helping Tyler win the monster-wars. It is quite obvious that he has big imagination, and such a great dad--and I have no doubt Tyler will grow into an accomplished, confident young man.
      Keep up the good work!!
      Cheers!
