Hello Elizabeth: Such poise, such self satisfaction, even condescension, conveyed in the facial expression and such confidence in the way in which the fingers are splayed out on the table. As for the dress, we love those leg of mutton sleeves, and of course the emphasis on the colour green highlights the jealousy we should all feel!!
she's an awesome amphibian, a gal of wondrous splendor, I love her eyes, her smile is just so tender! The fan is beautiful! I love your mind and the treasures it brings to paper!
I come, sometimes, on a break, and am so pooped and think that I'll come back later to leave a brighter and wittier comment and, then....I know better! so, you've got me and my cup of tea, today, just simply to say that this is a funny coincidence. The photography forum that I belong to just had a bout of 'vanity' photos. One was a beautifully mirrored goose. Then, I did a self-portrait and posted it before I realized....too late! heh, heh. oops!
Anyway, the look in this froggy's eyes....so perfect - they both say something slightly different that, together, is, oh, so funny! In her left - shrewd satisfaction and, in her right, a slightly vapid, happiness. heeeheee!
What a charming lady, your drawing is gorgeous! Have a nice week;:OD) Hope to post Vanity within the week, but i'm not sure. Energy must be filled up...
