Wish I had time for a new creation for the topic, but what with the in-laws coming, two birthdays, and two graduations this week (plus construction going on...)--well...this will have to do for now.

Hello Elizabeth:
ReplyDeleteHe, The Thing, is absolutely wonderful and has, as you have said, emerged from under the bed not at all scary but, unexpectedly, looking very downcast, sheepish, uncertain, almost on the point of tears.
In the meantime, it would appear that you have the most hectic of weeks coming up. God luck with it all!!
He is absolutely fantastic! (I still worry about things under the bed too! Thanks to a meanie big brother! Lol)
ReplyDeleteI love him, he looks as if he needs a good cuddle......................your illustrations are wonderful, came here via Jane & Lance Hattatt.................Rosemary
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Awesome, Awesome!
ReplyDeletethats lovely. Your verse is wonderful; fits beautifully with the image.
ReplyDeleteHe's lovely! Maybe that's what that noise is from under the bed...
ReplyDeleteHe's not really frightening after all, looks sort of sorry. Great illustration and his shadow!
ReplyDeleteHe's fantastic! I like your illustrations very much:)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I love the character, and the great energetic quality of line.
ReplyDeleteexcellent, love the story that accompanies this little character, too! good luck with all of your events, June is such a busy month- enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteLovely piece!
ReplyDeleteGreat critter!
ReplyDeleteWorks so well for the topic. I love your Dreadful and scary guy! Nice one Elizabeth Rose.
ReplyDeleteI just love him and the verse is wonderful! He looks a bit sad, as if he feels awful himself that he is so scary ;) Am also writing an email to you right now! Hugs, Susanna
ReplyDeleteOh he's sweet. I wouldn't mind finding him under my bed.
ReplyDeleteHe's very, very sweet. I'll bet he's just misunderstood.
ReplyDeleteAwesome cant wait to see it! You are writing it as well?
ReplyDeleteI truly love this. My granddaughters are still afraid of the monsters. I've given them worry dolls and told them their family ghost (yeah, they think they have a ghost or at least they think they think they might have one) is really a fairy. What they need is this! To see that the monster is cuddly and scared and lonely! Super! When is the book coming out? Hopefully before the girls are 21.
ReplyDeleteOh I love him, he is so adorable. I just want to give him a big hug. Great work!
ReplyDeleteWoW - fantastic character!
ReplyDeleteThis is great. The only scary thing about him is whatever he is holding in his hand.
ReplyDeletePia

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous character and rhyme! I love that his scary hand that might creep out from under the bed is just a prop. OHHH and I just looked more closely. Rent a claw! Too funny! More more more! Give us MORE!
