I was working on "cute," and it just got, well, too cute...
Sooo...cue the cat (and it's up to you, dear viewer, to decide exactly what the cat is looking at ;) ).
Regardless, and more to the point: good dog...stay.
Hello Elizabeth: Utterly delightful as always. We think that the 'well fed' cat is simply awaiting his turn in the hope of something tasty too - although possibly not a bone.
I’m constantly drawn to this (NPI). The expressions again are a work of genius for me. There is so much mud for the gazer to play with here. For me, it sums up the whole cryptic feline v daft doggo thing perfectly. I hope the curiosity didn’t actually get the better of furtive and clandestine pussy cat in the end.
Hello Elizabeth! I am so pleased to have discovered your beautiful blog (by way of the Hattatt blog).
I absolutely love this picture. There is a gorgeous innocence to it, and it's wonderful how each of the three subjects has their own definite character. I could sit and look at it for hours!
I see London, I see France....
ReplyDeleteI like the cat :-)
ReplyDeletethe characters are terrific.
ReplyDeletethe cat is priceless!
Ha! At first glance it's pure cute... then suddenly it's a bit... impure! ;-)

ReplyDeleteI thought of several things but I don’t think I can post them in a comment section! (I love your twisted sense of humor! LOL)

ReplyDeleteI found you via Ellis Nadler's blog. I love your art!
ReplyDeleteI like the added twist, it all 'looks' so innocent!

Cats get away with a lot being such independant characters.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what it is about the cat..but I am drawn to him...the cat is just down right cute and mischievous. Great work.
ReplyDeleteTenderly sweet. My heart is warmed, a smile I have. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteGood thing the cat doesn't have his cell phone camera out. Fun sketch!!
