Hello Elizabeth: At times you have a very wicked sense of humour! And we love it. Just supposing Mr. Holtwissel to be wearing an old Etonian tie, and the monkey in the same....No, it does not bear thinking about.
What we like most is the way in which Mr. H appears to epitomise the young, earnest man in the office complete with bewildered expression and thining hair who is now confronting a problem! And one not of his making.
I love the word "aghast", it's just not used often enough these days! I think Mr. Holdzwissel is not too happy about being told to go home and change his tie! ;) xo J~
Well. I will be totally honest. I don't get it. :D

ReplyDeleteMonkey says: "Mr. H., you nicked my tie? You copying me?"
ReplyDeleteI love it. I was thinking it was British humour that hasn't translated for some of your followers, but as you are in Seattle that's not the reason.
ReplyDeleteI love simple line drawings like this one of yours, and characters full of personality.
ReplyDeleteI love your works!!
ReplyDeleteI love how you draw the man's belly and his low-hanging trousers
ReplyDeleteGreat humour...
ReplyDeleteBest wishes from Buenos Aires...
