Very funny, love the colours and I like that purple "thing" that is hinding behind that plant... or is that is body? Actually I also love the blue thing, haha, his mouth is funny!
Lizzie, this illustration had a strange and beautiful effect on me. I felt like I was underwater but I could almost hear music at the same time. It was odd but lovely. I don't know how to explain it.
This is very, very good.
Just scrolled up and studied it, again. I can't stop looking at it.
Seriously, you have so much going on here. I love the way you use color in a simultaneously spartan but celebratory way. You exercise this perfect restraint which allows just the right amount to come through and it has a very profound and pleasant effect on me.
Also, I love the expressions on your 'character's' faces. (And am particularly enamored of the little guy on the ground.)
Love the colors. I have such a dirty mind though I couldn't help notice the top heavy "angel" fish and where the eyes of her cohorts were focused, lol.
Hi Elizabeth, I am not sure if you are in to this kind of thing or not but I have nominated your blog for a sunshine award because I really enjoy visiting your pages :-D If you want to know more there is a post here http://janetsdibbydabby.blogspot.com/2011/12/sunshine-award.html Cheers Janet
VIVID! But I disagree with the above about teaching manners, I think Ms Mermaid and The Algae are scheming some nastiness to be bestowed upon Mr Eye on the left there. Am I right? Am I wrong?
Merry Maid is teaching Long and Lanky aquarium manners. Don't bother the little guy in the wheel chair.

L, I love your work.
I thought I had a vivid imagination. But yours takes some beating. Great colours in this.
ReplyDeleteGreat illustration! I always wonder what the fish in the aquarium are thinking about us staring at them! LOL (or the animals in the zoo!)
