Your illustrations always make me happy!!!! I am still and always be a lover of LINES and few colors. But that touch of aqua on the players shorts is MY FAVORITE COLOR! And thank you so much for coming to visit!! Anita
What a hoot. I imagine this is a positive experience for the critter making the free throw. If he's a bit off, the net guy will grab it and put it through the hoop. Obviously, the bird is the droopy critter's psychotherapist and has arranged the experience to be a win.
There's quite a dilemma going on here...what's everyone to do?? How's the little guy going to get down? and how is the 'forward' going to shoot his shot? and how is the little bird goign to get out of the way in time?...I'm all a nervous now! ;) Adorable as usual!!! xo J~
Like your signature. It looks like cuneiform.
ReplyDeleteHope the conference is going/went well.
xx
and I like the orange stripes on the socks ....:D
ReplyDelete(but seriously the sitting bird ..... that's it!!)
ReplyDeleteoh this sitting bird is GREAT :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the way you worked the theme. Love the details :D
ReplyDeleteWith the exception of that sharp little beak, that bird looks like he may be a decent cushion to land on! :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! And I'm not even a sports fan!
ReplyDeleteGreat characters!
ReplyDeleteHaha, love the bird and also the guy in the basket. The creature with the ball looks very sad. : /
ReplyDelete"If you hit me, I'll sue"
ReplyDeleteNice situation here..the suspense has been captured perfectly...Like the basket guys eyes/pose!
ReplyDeleteAmazing expressions..love it!!

ReplyDeleteReally great work, Elizabeth! I'm having so much fun combing through your website!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the shorts! LOL (How was the conference?)
ReplyDeletelove your lines and sutil colours...
ReplyDeleteha ha ha
ReplyDeleteSuch a charming illustration!
ReplyDeleteHow can someone so delicately shaded seem so weighted? And the forward - is he the one with the ball or in the basket? Fun image.
ReplyDeleteThe bird underneath seems to be shouting encouragement!
ReplyDeleteHilarious! Love how the drawing fills the space....and the red and white socks are a hoot!
ReplyDeleteI had the same reaction as someone above: how amazing that you convey such weight wih such minimal use of line! How was the conference?
ReplyDeleteHey, that's cheating! Come down from that basket this instant, legless man!
ReplyDeleteAnd the guy sitting on the floor; Is that one of those boneless chickens I've heard about?
You're art is so much fun to decipher!
I agree with everyone. Your illustrations make me smile :)

I like this a lot. It's kind of creepy/nightmarish (to me at least) in spite of the colors, and that's the attraction. An eye-treat, always.
ReplyDeleteoh what a situation!
ReplyDeletehahaha oh this is so funny!! Love the big guys expression, he looks so confused :)
ReplyDeleteFunny illustration - bit of a conundrum.
ReplyDeleteGreat illo:)
