Hello Elizabeth: A nut case or a taste sensation......we can imagine the fear struck into the very wings of dear Henny by the mention of the word whereas, for us, we simply thought of nutcrackers and roasted chestnuts by the fire!!!
Henny is quite a girl with her painted fingernails isn't she?
Haha, this is just terrific. You can tell Henny she has a kindred spirit in me, who does not eat c-h-i-c-k-e-n, and would never go to that horrible place! That much said, really beautiful sketch of you-know-who. And Henny's pose and expression are priceless!
Oh, Henny! Not to worry! We would never let the ‘kernel’ near you! You made my evening, Elizabeth! I actually swallowed my gum I laughed so hard! Thanks! (in a good way!)
It's the first time that I've ever seen a shadow cross over dear Henny but no wonder! You must have given her a near heart attack when you mentioned it.
Hope all is well now that that's straightened out. =]
TEEEHEEEEE......this is absolutely DARLING! Henny has NOTHING to worry about. She is a super chicken of great worth and importance and well, she is just too precious! LOVE THIS ELIZABETH!!! And thank you so much for coming to visit me! TALK ABOUT BUSY...whew....I am tying up loose ends here with the end of school and it is wild.
HAVE A GREAT DAY AND YOUR ILLUSTRATIONS ARE AS FABULOUS AS EVER! Anita
Thanks for stopping by! I have to tell you that I was sitting in the teacher's lounge yesterday, zipping thru a few blogs on my phone while my class was at recess. I looked at this illustration and burst out laughing...loudly. I'm not sure what the other teachers thought I was looking at... :)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! This is HILARIOUS Elizabeth! I especially like the contrast in drawing styles combined in one image. The pencil of the King of KFC is really nice. Love the limited color too - it makes the image pop in all the right places.
Ha! So cute and the Colonel looks so good, you really captured him. I loved KFC as a kid and sometimes I crave what I remember the flavor to be but the last time I ate there (about 10 years ago!) it just wasn't the same...
As an European girl I had to study this a bit longer than any American would, but when I got it I had to laugh. Elizabeth, I wish I could pin this illustration to my Vegan board on Pinterest. See I'm a vegan and I love these illustrations in which the illustrator takes the view of the meat eaters victims and let us feel compassion and empathy. Another job well done, Elizabeth! Paula
