Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
I kept thinking I should be painting turkeys or cornucopias or something Thanksgiving-like, but this is what popped out today. I am working on the manuscript for another book, so I thought I'd make a few character studies. So far, so good, I think :-)
I love these piggies!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, as ever, James!
DeleteThey are lovely.
ReplyDeleteGlad you think so, Sue. Thanks!
DeleteAnother book? My, aren’t you prolific! LOL Cute little piggies. Is it a book about piggies going shoe shopping on black Friday?
ReplyDeleteIf I were TRULY prolific, I'd have more than 2 ;) Glad you like this little guy--and, yes, he IS rather fond of shoes.
DeleteHi Beth. What a sweet little piglet!!! Love his striped socks and red boots. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, K., One can never go wrong with striped socks and red boots ;)
DeleteWe're all going to have little bellies like that on Thursday. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWe sure are! :)
DeleteSo cute, great characters!
ReplyDeleteaww so cutee!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Calita!
DeleteDid Piggie have an accident or is he merely out walking in the rain?
ReplyDeleteOr simply sitting in "it"?
He is indeed a cutie pie!
Puddles are in the eye of the beholder ;)
DeleteGlad you like him, L. :)
Beautiful foot ware collection Imelda piglet has!

Imelda...hahaha. Great name. Maybe I should make him a her ;)
DeleteNever conform! ;) Love the little piggies! Especially the guy with his back to us--how you can see his little socks stretched out in front of him & the curly tail is adorable!! Have a wonderful holiday!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mit. I hope you have a great holiday, too !!
DeletePRECIOUS ELIZABETH!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have been stuck down in my basement for days trying to finish a large Etsy order so I have missed all my beloved friends in BLOGLAND! OHHHHHHHH YOUR LITTLE COCHON IS PERFECT FOR THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY! There are some people you know little Piggy in boots that eat ham! But don't worry, you are safe here on paper.
OH ELIZABETH....so good to know you are busy about doing what you LOVE! God bless you and have a wonderful FEAST! Anita
Yes...shhhh...we shouldn't mention the H word ;)
DeleteHave a wonderful feast, Anita!
All piggies should wear Wellington-boots. Perhaps you should call it, 'A Piggies Tale' ... a tale with as many twists as a piggies tail?
ReplyDeleteOh I like it...so CLEVER you are :)
DeleteHappy Thanksgivings, Elizabeth.
ReplyDeleteI see four piggies and two of them look unhappy. The two piggies wearing stripped socks are having a good time. Share with us the story behind these stripped stocks next time, okay? Obviously these red-white socks hold some magic. I have seem them before in your illustrations.
Maybe I should go down-town and find them, put them on, and see how that will affect my drawings....
Hi Paula! ALL striped socks are magical--especially the red ones ;)
DeleteI love that you notice them! By all means, try them.
:)
I love it! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dawn...You too!!
DeleteOooooooooooh, how adorable! Hehehehe. I wonder if piggies play This-Little-Piggy on their toes. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bella! I wonder, too ;)
DeleteHappy T-day to you!
oh, so glad you did these piggies as you were inspired too.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving
Lisa G.
Yes... I finally got him down on paper :) He's been roaming around in my head for a while. Stay tuned, and thanks, Lisa!
DeleteOh my goodness SO CUTE. I wonder if the piggy is just sad at this particular moment, or whether it is a melancholy piggy in general. Either way, terrific character!
ReplyDeletePiggy can be rather moody. It ain't easy bein' a pig ;)
DeleteThanks, Cindy!
I love your piggies and they love me. They want to come and live with me. Hope you don't mind. Axxx
ReplyDeletePiggies love that you love them. I'm sure they would behave (and wipe their feet).
Delete;)
No. 4 is Millie.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
Does Millie have striped socks? If so, you must post ;)
DeleteThank you for the T-day wishes!
I LOVE your piggies! SO cute!

So glad you like them, Helen. Thanks!!
DeleteSo cute!!! I won't think of the ham my friend is having instead of turkey though...just wouldn't be right!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a fabulously Happy Thanksgiving Elizabeth Rose...and let's hope it's a dry one!
xo J~
Oohh...the H-word...Piggie is covering his ears ;)
DeleteThanks!
Oh! Oh, my.... the other night, we got season two of the Muppet show for movie night and.... oh, my... all I can think of is Sam the Eagle giving a stern lecture about how every one in the world is really naked under their clothes - shocking!!! =O Why, even the birds... beneath their feathers.... =/ So, what is a pig wearing?!
ReplyDeleteShocking! Absolutely shocking!!! ;)
xxo
Piggie thinks all the pertinent parts are covered ;)
Deleteps I love the last ones crinkled and wrinkled back and cute ham-hock bum. My boys, when they were babies, were SO chubby! (Indeed, Toby's cheeks were so jolly and shiny - he was always smiling - they looked like they were about to pop.) I always called their chubby little thighs, ham bones.... just reminds me of that - cute chub! =]
ReplyDeletexo
Hahaha...ham-hock bum...ham bones...
DeleteYou always make me laugh, Katy :-D
Wonderful pigs, Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteOink!
Thanks, Rob. Oink!
DeleteOh, these are great studies. And ham is perfectly ok for today. Happy Thanksgiving, Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteI won't tell Piggie. He's already a little worried ;)
DeleteHope your T-day was a good one, Ted!
uhhh... not that I eat ham.
ReplyDeletePiggie & Co. are very happy to hear it.
DeleteCutest piggies - ever!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Michellem!!!
DeleteI see one's gone to the market (to buy roast beef no doubt).
ReplyDeleteActually, to buy a turkey ;)
DeleteYour drawings are so enormously clever and winsome. The footwear is priceless and bound to become the height of piggie fashion!
ReplyDeleteOne can only hope ;) Thank you, Susan !
DeleteThis is just a little too much like how many of us are feeling right now. ~Mary
