See, I saw this as a drawing of a normal-sized cat in a giant tea cup. I suppose that's because I really, really love tea (and would love a giant tea cup).
Thank you for popping over and visitng my blog! :)
Yes of course, the animal type! (Of most things, in fact. Feet for instance. How cute are animal feet? Human feet? Not so much!) Super, super cute. I should get something out for this fine topic but I've been doing secret santa things and they are secret. Arrrgh! :)
Haha! You are funny and observant, U. I actually have worked a little more on him, since I decided he was missing his stripes. He is now a Tiny Tiger. Maybe I should post him?
Oh yeah! Super cute, i love your work! I have not had time to do Illustration Friday for ages and have been missing visiting your amazing blog Elizabeth. So off to catch up now on all your wonderful posts! Hope to do an Illustration Friday submission next week too:)
Saw this yesterday, ERS, with 44 comments or so. Stayed in my mind. The teacup with whiskers idea brought to mind a cracked shaving mug on the sauna windowsill from my childhood. Love how these juxtapositions poke windows in to memory, send me to places I love. Tiny perfect image. Lovely.
He's cuter 'n a bug's ear and the color is very nice on this one, too, but it's not finished; you need to draw in the rest of the cup and saucer carnival ride.
Abby admits the mouse is pretty darn cute but thinks dog whiskers are the bestest.
ReplyDeleteTell Abby dog whiskers are most acceptable.
DeleteAww, sweet!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely prefer the animal-type.
I knew you would :)
DeleteDarling!!

DeleteHello Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteI love it all from the pattern on the china to the innocence of the mouse. No whiskers on humans, much more attractive in the animal kindgom

DeleteOh, little Teddybear, do come out. There’s nobody here who would hurt you. Not even those who think you’re a mouse.
ReplyDeleteHaha! You are funny and observant, U. I actually have worked a little more on him, since I decided he was missing his stripes. He is now a Tiny Tiger. Maybe I should post him?
DeleteMost definitely! I'd MUCH rather rub noses with these type of whiskers. Less itchy and a tons cuter. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI agree! Thanks, Bella!
