The crying when the balloon drifts away! I've seen parents and passing pedestrians almost jump for a cargo truck, offering their future, in order to catch a drifting balloon and hand it back to a shocked child. Horror and despair!
Luckily just out of sight of your drawing, to the right, there is a bigger bunny who catches the balloon. I'm very grateful, Elizabeth, you don't leave us crying for the bunny.
Because if that is your intention...I....will....(lets stop here) ;-)
Very nice! I particularly like your choice in paper. But how dare people smile at the bunny's loss. Just think what he must be going through, the poor thing... ;-)
Yes, poor little bunny. But, fear not. Bunny is of little brain, so by now I'm sure he is gone off on to the next thing. What, I wonder, could that be? Hmmm...maybe some fodder for 5 Minute Fiction? ;)
Awwwww! Come on, little fella, reach! Reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaach! Use those ears! Aww, phooey. I hate when that happens.
A few months ago, at a graduation ceremony, someone brought a HUGE mylar balloon for the graduate. You know it had to cost a bundle because it was ginormous and fancy. But it was windy that day and the thing blew away before the ceremony even started. :(
I'm the perpetual optimist. I reckon the balloon has been hypnotised by the bunny, and is coming down to him. The pink is the clue ... he's playing the balloon by ear.
And a sweet confection it is! Lovely color choices.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeanie! One can't go wrong with a pink balloon (especially when it matches the inside of one's ears) ;)
DeleteBeautiful! I love the color on the toned paper, and wonderful composition too! Too cute.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like, Cindy :) Thanks!

DeleteOh no! Poor bunny!
ReplyDeleteA lovely image. I really like the background paper choice.
Yes, poor little bunny :( I haven't decided if he catches it or not ;)
DeleteThanks, Helen!
Bunny received some great balloons from his friends at family planning..he preferred the pink ones to the black ribbed version!
ReplyDeleteYou are a bad boy, Mr. MacGregor. However, bunny family planning IS important.
DeleteSo sweet! I hope he catches it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susanna! I haven't decided yet ;)
DeleteVery beautiful colours.

I'm so glad Bunny's plight has spurred on your imagination, Paula! Pretty fun!
DeleteVery cute rabbit. I would be very sad to loose such a beautiful balloon.
