Procrasticoodling

Greetings, All!
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving-- where applicable :)
Earlier this month, I was asked to be a guest blogger on Tara Lazar's blog for
Picture Book Idea Month, which is quite an honor (to see the illustrious company I shared,
check out the list below)!
Guest bloggers were tasked with  inspiring  people who signed up for PiBoIdMo. PiBoIdMo is a month long (November) challenge for participants to come up with 30 picture book ideas--ideally, one for every day of the month.  It's been a fun month reading the blog posts, and all the comments.  Looks like the "pep talks" worked!
So scroll on down (the list is alphabetical, and most have links) and give a click.  They are all wonderfully inspiring and I hope, at the very least, you will read mine :)
Be sure and leave a comment--both here and there :) :)  Thanks!

  1. I love there is now an official name for wasting time doodling! And that it's not wasting time at all. I can use this to prove to my family I'm not just dithering around! Thanks, E!

  3. From one procrastidoodler to another, great article! And I think this is a lovely resource for people to use when they just want to read a little inspiration. :D That frog girl in the party dress just kills me!

  4. Well, I would read your guest post, but I was too busy procrastinating ;-)

What I found most interesting was seeing the creative process at play and how this led up to the creation of Henny. The average reader isn't privy to this soft of info, and lemme tell ya we appreciate you opening a window into how you work!

    1. I can't open that window too far, though, Mr. Turnip-- lest I frighten everyone away ;) Glad you procrastinated long enough for a peek. Thanks!

  6. Such a great article Elizabeth! Always wonderful and inspiring to read about others creative ways...and it seems that procrastination is such a huge part it for many, I know it is for me. I usually do my best work, like a picture I need for class, the day before the class...or even the day of, though those tend to stress me out a bit too much.
The Muse community must eat procrastination for breakfast, lunch and dinner...while they doodle of course!
    Thanks...this was a fantastic read.
