It may be a little thought, but it's a GREAT little thought! (if we ever meet in person, Elizabeth, I'll be quite disappointed if you're not wearing red striped socks...)
This guy is so sweet. Quite suddenly,in the middle of getting dressed, he's found himself quietly holding a balloon. He's so still and placid and....sweetly considerating. and more that I can't wrap my words around.
This reminds me of Sandra Boynton. What a wonderful sense of humor she has, too. =]
Hello Elizabeth: We are often left asking so many questions when we look at your wonderful characters. A matching pair of socks and tie...a present perhaps? A balloon suggest a happy time, a party maybe......but why is he/she so sad? We are always intrigued to know more.....
Theeeeheeeee...I so love a simple, red balloon. Oh Elizabeth, your style is just what I love. AND thank YOU for visiting today! Have a wonderful new year! Anita
Is he waiting for someone? He seems rooted to the spot? Or is he going to a red and white themed party? :) Your little thought has got us guessing into many trails of thoughts! Wonderful drawing, Elizabeth!
The tie and socks seem to match. I wish I could do that. Yesterday, I had a lime green and and a pink sock on. Wondered why my neighbour kept looking down at the ground.
Love it!
ReplyDeletesocks should always match the tie!
ReplyDeleteall your guys have such a quality of innocence, regardless of where they've been. That's what makes them so lovable!
ReplyDeleteHe's sweet!! Wonder where he is off to with that balloon.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love him! How do you convey so much with just a few lines and a couple of colors? He reminds me of a Wind In The Willows character, somehow.
ReplyDeleteStriped socks are a must! LOL
