They look so funny, your astronaut bunch! I hope they can stay there and never have to fly or do dangourous spacy things. That little hostile distraction, the arrow, is blowing over, I think. They can just sit and wait and be happy. There are a lot of hilarious details, the beak is great, but also piggy's boots.
I know from this picture that it's not just your cartoons and drawings I love, but you too, Elizabeth. This made me laugh out loud and I am aching to give you a hug for having these gorgeous images in your head and being able to share them. Axxxxxxxxx
Hehehe....love the squashed beak! And I'm a sucker for line art with hash marks used for shading. Reminds me of the doodles my dad used to draw. Good stuff.
I love that there's a baby on this crew and he's the only one with the antenna. Probably listening to "The Rockets on the Ship go CHOOM, CHOOM, CHOOM!". Changing a diaper in zero g's would definitely be a task. I have a hard enough time changing them here.
This is so bizarre and funny! Has someone just left in that rocket, which is why the space in the lineup. I was convinced with the credibility of this crew until I saw the baby :) - LOL! The whole design would look great as a Library bookmark with a caption about reading... or possibly involving turkeys...
This is so wonderful. You've composed it such that I immediately read it left-to-right, and that scrunched beak is such a fabulous quiet punch line. There's no mistaking your work for anyone else's...that's such a gift!!
I shouldn't have taken a gulp of coffee before this image appeared on my monitor. It's exceptionally hilarious! The zillion comments have said it all ... everything about it is perfect. Love those pig boots!
HILARIOUS!! Several of them look like they're not quite sure how they came about their circumstances. Perhaps this is not exactly a volunteer mission...like that chimp that was sent out into space? Which brings me to the fact that somebody seems to be missing a baby....
ahahah
ReplyDeletespace suits can be tricky when you have a more salient beak :D ... ahaha great detail!
he's feeling a little bit rejected, isn't he?! poor guy! :D
That's the crew I want to man the next NASA misson! AWESOME work!

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Elizabeth. Too funny. Arrow overhead and the looks on their faces! Who's the baby? ;)
ReplyDeleteLove everything about this but the crumpled beak threw it over the top!!
ReplyDeleteNot only his beak is all squished but his feet got nothin' either. At least he's willing to go into space. Good one Lizzie!
ReplyDeletehahaha!!! thats brilliant xxx

ReplyDeleteThis is great! Love the beak out of whack! Great pen work on this one! :D
ReplyDeletewow that was quick. Great illo!
ReplyDeleteIt's the one curly hair on the babies head that made me laugh. Question, can one go into space with bare legs? :-)

ReplyDeletenice bunch of guys, so nicely together...:)
Elizabeth, your art has a subtle charm and humor that is distinctly your own. It's very effective.
ReplyDeleteBut what's all the talk about the bird on the right sitting all by herself? That's where I usually sit.
Who is firing flaming arrows? no wonder RHS henny relative looks a bit worried!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, the suits are outstanding, and the little bits of color. Stellar setup (no pun intended). Hope that poor beak isn't permanently busted!
ReplyDeleteHehehe....love the squashed beak! And I'm a sucker for line art with hash marks used for shading. Reminds me of the doodles my dad used to draw. Good stuff.
