  6. Love everything about this but the crumpled beak threw it over the top!!

  7. Not only his beak is all squished but his feet got nothin' either. At least he's willing to go into space. Good one Lizzie!

  10. It's the one curly hair on the babies head that made me laugh. Question, can one go into space with bare legs? :-)

  11. They look so funny, your astronaut bunch! I hope they can stay there and never have to fly or do dangourous spacy things. That little hostile distraction, the arrow, is blowing over, I think. They can just sit and wait and be happy. There are a lot of hilarious details, the beak is great, but also piggy's boots.

  12. Oh, haha. What an unlikely bunch. I love it!

  13. funny his pecker doesn't fit in the helmet of the right bird, I also like the posture of the pig :-)

  14. They look like a very brave lot to me, ready to go where no man/bird/animal has been before!

  15. I know from this picture that it's not just your cartoons and drawings I love, but you too, Elizabeth. This made me laugh out loud and I am aching to give you a hug for having these gorgeous images in your head and being able to share them. Axxxxxxxxx

  20. Elizabeth, your art has a subtle charm and humor that is distinctly your own. It's very effective.

But what's all the talk about the bird on the right sitting all by herself? That's where I usually sit.

  21. Who is firing flaming arrows? no wonder RHS henny relative looks a bit worried!

  22. Hahaha, the suits are outstanding, and the little bits of color. Stellar setup (no pun intended). Hope that poor beak isn't permanently busted!

  23. Hehehe....love the squashed beak! And I'm a sucker for line art with hash marks used for shading. Reminds me of the doodles my dad used to draw. Good stuff.

  24. The look on the faces of the four.... they don't look too sure about 'boldly going where no man has gone before...' =D

  31. I love that there's a baby on this crew and he's the only one with the antenna. Probably listening to "The Rockets on the Ship go CHOOM, CHOOM, CHOOM!". Changing a diaper in zero g's would definitely be a task. I have a hard enough time changing them here.

  32. This is so bizarre and funny! Has someone just left in that rocket, which is why the space in the lineup. I was convinced with the credibility of this crew until I saw the baby :) - LOL! The whole design would look great as a Library bookmark with a caption about reading... or possibly involving turkeys...

  37. This is so wonderful. You've composed it such that I immediately read it left-to-right, and that scrunched beak is such a fabulous quiet punch line. There's no mistaking your work for anyone else's...that's such a gift!!

  38. haha, I love your group of astronauts!!...are they hiding the boots of the one at the end?

  45. Adorable and funny!I can't stop laughing with this illustration! :D
    hugs.

  46. HILARIOUS!! Several of them look like they're not quite sure how they came about their circumstances. Perhaps this is not exactly a volunteer mission...like that chimp that was sent out into space? Which brings me to the fact that somebody seems to be missing a baby....

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yep. That gap on the wall... so I"m betting it's Humpty out there in space? A pre-hen if you will?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Ha Ha! Fantastic! Chickens, a pig and a baby in space - now I have seen everything?! Love the chicken on the end who has just noticed the rocket...

    ReplyDelete
  49. To the moon! :) You are in the right field, illustrating! :) To the point, just great art!!!
