What came first? The chicken or the egg?Don't. Get. This. Wrong.
Oh goodness! This is just absolutely the cutest thing ever! Love the pink boots with spurs!
Hello Elizabeth:How is it that whatever, and here is no exception, your 'characters' are always full of expression? Here Henny looks rather as if she has surprised even herself with this wonderful, slightly camp disguise. The boots are, of course, magnificent and quite ridiculous!!
i love the boots! i think i saw them in vogue last week ; )
wonderful! She looks like she isn’t sure this will work …
Oh this is so sweet, I particulary love the little one. :-)
Teeeheee...I DON'T THINK SO HENNY.....those boots don't cut it!Anita
ha ha, so funny! This chick is clever !! :D
:-) Another funny illustration by the wonderful Elisabeth Rose Stanton...
this is amazing:)
I *love* Henny's disguise. (Love the angle of her little beak, too.)
hihihi, Henny despite her disguise, I do recognize her ;-)
Elizabeth dearest,YOU ARE SO KIND !!!!!!Your comments made my comment viewing moment! I am back at school today for our first district meeting. This week is a mild week, or rather, teacher meetings and classroom preparation. Next Tuesday IS THE DAY when the children come. The real show.....IF you want to see some of my drawings, come to:http://linktonowhereland.blogspot.com/that is my team blog. Any posts from CASTLES CROWNS AND COTTAGES is me....there are three of us that contribute drawings. It is HERE where I came out of MY RIGHT BRAIN CAVE and started to draw again after 40 years. FUNNNNN!Many thanks and have a spectacular day! Oh, and HEnny will see that she is not the only animal that likes to wear boots...(hint: Tea Rat)Anita
:) que personaje!
haha.. this is brilliant!.. I jus love that ridiculously cute little one too!!!!
I snorted some of my coffee when I saw that. I actually have pink cowboy boots, too. Never thought I'd be fashion influenced by an armed chicken.
Maybe Henny will let me borrow her boots?! Wonderful drawing!
Haha, this is so Good!Great cowboy disguise:)
A regular gun-slinger. We shall heed the words of poultry from now on...
Actually, I feel a bit of fear for Henny after I was attacked by a horrible rooster. I did nothing to him! You should have seen me running. :-)
Love Henny! Your illustrations are amazing!DiX
My favourite one soo far you are AMAZICAL !!!!! Had never heard of illustration friday thanks for introducing me :) xxx
Ok, Elizabeth, this is adorable, and you do amazing work, but looking at the latest posts with Teddy — axes & guillotines — hmmm, so dark... makes me love your work that much more! Perfectly divine.
Great disguise Henny:)
Right on!…terrific illustration.
So fabulous...and I love the defiant little Native American chick!
Oh, Henny has a sidekick now. What is his/her name?
Love it! My guess is the chick is saying "Aw Mom, if you insist on wearing that, please just drop me off on the corner so none of my friends will see you."Hey, maybe that's why the chicken crossed the road!
His eyes are awesome :D, the red boots remind me of Ted Mosby.
Too funny. Everyone should run from a gunslinger with pink boots!
Sure fooled me - though her sidekick is not convinced this will work, I see...
she's great! :)
Brilliant - very funny and I love your drawing style. The chick is wonderful! :-)
Henny looks like she's means business and is ready for some serious shoot-em-up fun at the OK Corral-Coop...great use of those special hands of hers!! L.O.V.E. Her! xo J~
There's a new chick in town and she's all buckled up and rarin to draw. Hi Ho Henny, and Away!
Oh, great giggles! And to think I just had scrambled eggs with chicken deli meat mixed in, mmmm, cheesy goodness for supper.
I truly appreciate your comments.I try and reply, so be sure and come back!
