I've had my nose to the promotional grindstone, so to speak, as time gets closer and closer to HENNY's release, and I apologize again for still being so woefully behind in all things bloggie--mine, yours, and everyone elses!
Lately, I've been doing battle with new business cards and promotional cards. The process always starts out with a certain excitement, then transcends to angst over size, paper, cost, design, etc. -- then bounces back to excitement once they're finished.
I had three sets of cards made: one sporting the cover and a spread from HENNY-- same image that's in the SCBWI Illustrator Exhibit (postcard size), and the other heralding the launch date for the book (business card size). Then I had a set of five alternating layouts made up for my business cards. SO glad they're done! What do you think?
I love all of them! The elegant designs set off the warmth and originality of your characters--a perfect combo. And they look wonderful together. Hooray for HENNY's upcoming release!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carin! I can't believe HENNY is getting so close! Glad you like the cards :)
DeleteWe are looking forward to having Henny at our house (and a few of the tribe of
ReplyDeletenieces and nephews :-)

DeleteI LOVE them, Beth, and wish any of my promotional items looked this good! So exciting that Henny is almost here! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susanna! We are super excited :)
DeleteCongratulation! The cards look marvelous - and it is always interesting to see which one people choose when you offer them to choose one - always a good way to enter a conversation. Britta
ReplyDeleteThanks, Brigitta! You are quite right about them being conversation starters. So far, people tend to go for either the frog or the pig. Hmmmm...
DeleteLOVE the cards - especially the polka dotted one! So cute that it matches her dress! Those are the details that you excel at!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle! I think I will dot more on the next set. Card couture!
DeleteELIZABETH!

Thank you, John! I'm hoping that your inability to find blogging time is because you are working on your splendid ART! It IS getting harder and harder to keep up :( Henny definitely has her fingers crossed for the launch (all of 'em ;) )
DeleteWhat a long process it all is! The cards are all terrific! I think I would go with a rabbit, perhaps in the blue coat. :D
